Welcome!

Welcome to joglasser.com, a site where you will find seasonal reflections, short articles, blog posts, and links to books and other resources for living a fulfilling Christian life, whatever your life stage may be. You can also order copies of my book of Advent reflections, While We Wait My goal in sharing these writings and resources is to help Christians tackle the practical questions and decisions that confront us every day.  As an Episcopal deacon I am called to serve all people, “particularly the poor, the weak, the sick, and the lonely.” (Diaconal Ordination Service, Book of Common Prayer, 1979, p. 543)  Thus I am particularly concerned with ways that faithful Christians can help address the needs of those in our society who face special challenges.

The opinions and interpretations expressed on this website are my own and do not represent the opinions or positions of The Episcopal Church in the United States, the Episcopal Diocese of Eau Claire, or any of their congregations, clergy or members.  The ideas shared here are intended to stimulate thoughtful reflection and discussion, and not as recommendations or advice of any kind.

I hope that this website will present you with ideas that will prompt you to consider the questions of everyday Christian living with fresh insight or a different perspective.  My prayer for us and for all who dedicate themselves to following the path where our Lord leads is that, day by day, we all may —

Know him more clearly,

Love him more dearly, and

Follow him more nearly.

(Prayer ascribed to St. Richard of Chichester, 1197-1253)

Peace,
